GP Primer is a water-based, general-purpose, high solids acrylic primer developed to improve bond strength to smooth, glossy and rough cement roof tiles. GP Primer is also suitable as a high build primer on very rough cement roof tile surfaces which will improve the appearance of all the Nutech roof top coat finishes.

One of the standout features of GP Primer is its filler properties. With a high solids content, this primer serves as a filler coat, particularly effective on rough cement tiles. By utilizing GP Primer as a filler, you can significantly improve the appearance of the surface, setting the stage for the flawless application of Nutech’s topcoat systems. With the combined power of GP Primer and Nutech’s topcoat products, achieve a smooth and visually appealing finish.

Note: GP Primer IS NOT recommended for oxidised and powdery tiles. Refer: NuPrime or SupaPrime for these surfaces.

Coverage / Spread Rate:

Smooth Surface: 6m²/L per coat; Rough Surface: 4m²/L per coat

Note: Coverage will depend on the porosity and roughness of the surface. To maximise performance do not over spread.

Recommended Substrates:

Smooth, glossy and rough cement roof tiles
Porous concrete and cinder block walls
Lightweight concrete panels
Tilt slab concrete walls
Concrete render and stucco-type wall finishes

Application Conditions:

ONLY apply between 10°C and 30°C ambient air temperatures
ENSURE no surface moisture is present prior to application
CONSIDERATION must be given to wind and relative humidity
DO NOT apply topcoat until the primer is completely dry
DO NOT apply in very cold or extremely hot conditions
Failure to observe these provisions may affect coating adhesion
