Butyrub is a high quality, permanent plastic one-component sealant based on polybutene. It does not cure completely in depth but forms an elastic and watertight skin, making it ideal for joints with limited movement and various sealing applications.
APPLICATIONS
- Joints with limited movement (max. 5%)
- Sealant for joints in masonry, door and window frames, and windowsills
- Installation of single glass in wooden, concrete, and steel window frames (e.g., greenhouses)
- Sealing of joints in coachwork and container construction
- Sealing of all openings in roof constructions
- Repair and renovation of roofs and gutters

SHELF LIFE
12 months in unopened packaging when stored in a cool and dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
NOTES
- Not for use in applications with continuous water immersion
- Paintable with most paints; ensure paint is sufficiently elastic
- Perform compatibility test with paint before application
- Not suitable for sealing insulation glass units or safety glass
- Do not use on natural stone like marble or granite (staining may occur); use Soudal Silirub MA or Silirub+ S8800 instead
